Andrea Zimmerman’s whole world changed this year. “After a long, detailed process to train and become licensed, my husband and I became foster parents in early 2021,” she said. “Our most recent placement was a foster-to-adopt set of siblings, with our long journey to adoption becoming finalized in April. “Ryan and Suzanna have exponentially increased the love in our household, and we could not be more blessed.” Zimmerman stays involved in her community through multiple organizations and initiatives, and she currently serves as the chair of her church leadership board and the chair of development for a university student ministry organization. She has worked at HMP Global since April 2022 as Senior Director, Accreditation & Compliance. In this role, she oversees HMP Education’s accreditation by the Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education, Council on Podiatric Medical Education and National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, California Board of Registered Nursing, National Board for Certified Counselors, and National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards, as well as approval on a meeting-by-meeting basis by the AVIR for Radiology Technicians, Physical Therapy State Boards, Marriage and Family Therapy State Boards, and other accrediting bodies. “I am responsible for ensuring that the planning, development, and documentation of our accredited education adheres to all regulatory and accredited educational requirements, standards, criteria, guidelines, and best practices. I am proud to contribute to HMP Global's efforts to educate and inspire the global healthcare community,” she said.  While working full time, Zimmerman attended and completed graduate school — twice. She spends her limited free time traveling, researching accessible travel, reading, and making pottery.   Andrea, thank you for all your hard work, and congratulations on growing your family!
